CEC4Europe was approached by a group of industrial ecology master students from TU Delft in the Netherlands that expressed profound interest in CEC4Europe’s work.

In October 2018, while on a study trip to Vienna, a group of 26 young and very interested students followed CEC4Europe’s invitation to an afternoon of lectures.

Univ.-Prof. Dipl.-Ing. Dr. Helmut Rechbeger, Head of Waste and Resource Management, TU Wien, and Vice Chairman of CEC4Europe gave a presentation on Urban stocks, MFA and circularity.

Dr. Emile van Eygen, Institute for Water Quality and Resource Management, TU Wien, gave an insight in the field of circularity of plastics packaging and environmental performance of their waste management.

DI Dominik Blasenbauer, BSc, Institute of Water Quality and Resource Management, TU Wien presented the latest research findings in the field of recycling of WtE

Hon. Prof. Dr. Christoph Scharff, CEO of ARA AG and Chairman of CEC4Europe, rounded the lecture up with a review of the circular economy package.

The vast and sheer never-ending number of questions both during the presentations as well as after were proof that the lecture was of great interest to the audience.

A big thank you to the speakers for taking the time to speak to the students and also for answering each and every single question.
